The gardens reflect the Colonial setting of the house. Plants are mostly cottage garden flowers, roses and European trees, although a giant Tasmanian Blue Gum dominates the back garden. The vegetable garden produces magnificently in Tasmania's cool climate and the chickens at the end of the garden are our source of organic breakfast eggs. A goldfish pond in the side garden completes our range of pets. St Mary's Church and open paddocks to the North of the garden give us wide views of the surrounding hills. Guests are very welcome to relax on the garden seats or stroll in the gardens.
